Scope: Corporate Strategy

Industry: Consumer Electronics

Market: China

A NASDAQ company was re-positioning itself from a consumer electronics distributor to become a technology service provider in China; and the brief was to develop a corporate development strategy and plan. 


This 3 month assignment was undertaken in a matrix environment with multiple inputs from the CEO, divisional GMs, Group FC and in-house counsel.  At the end of the assignment, we presented a corporate development plan to re-align the company over the next 18 months on these fronts:


  • Legal structure & financial health

  • Value chain activities

  • Capital market positioning & perception

  • Internal processes & organizational structure

  • Equity story & investor relations. 


The corporate plan was subsequently approved by the board of directors; and the company completed its transformation and was subsequently acquired by a major US technology company.
